IS THE DEAD DEAD?
This is a very much challenging question that I have ever met. I
believe that for every christian to have
confidence in God must learn this, and even better, teach all the others
willing to learn this. The question is; Is some one said to be dead, really
dead or this person has some living part
in him or her? The answer is quite plain and clear, a dead person is fully
dead, and has nothing like a living part in him or her, has no understanding, Psalms.146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the sons of
man, in whom there's no help. 4 His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth;
in that very day his thoughts perish.
How about the ghosts, the spirits that seem to come up out from
the dead? We shall answer this as we proceed.
I want you to remember that; In the beginning, God spoke to Adam; Genesis.2:17 But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you
shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof, you shall surely die.
God said: You shall surely die, and listen to this also;
Genesis.3:4 And the serpent said into the woman, You
shall not surely die: The devil also made a statement: You shall not surely die.
We therefore have two contradicting statements, which of the two
do you believe? you might say this or that but when you do not mean it. If we research to find out what Adam took
as the right thing, we find that he found Satan's statement more correct than
God's statement, as a result, man ate the
forbidden fruit, which meant that he had disobeyed God. Today, most
people believe the same thing; when a person dies, he or she does not surely
die, the person has some ghost which junps out of him or her, who is dead and
starts disturbing people or go to heaven. My brother, my sister, this is very
wrong, God created no one with a so called ghost, What an animal becomes after
death is what person also becomes after death; Ecclesiastes.3:18 - 21 19 For that which befalls the sons of man
befalls beasts; the same thing befalls them: as the one dies, so does the
other; yea, they have all one breath ... 20 All go unto one place; all are of
the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 who knows the spirit of man goes
upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward to the earth?. Would you like to
deceive me that a cow has a ghost or a goat has a ghost? Let me hope not: but
one will insist, how come we hear ghosts speak when one dies? It is true that
ghosts, spirits, demons, and so on, exist but not from dead bodies. When an
animal dies, it rots, loses understanding, loses strength and can do nothing.
This is the same thing that happens to a person. Solomon says; Ecclesiastes.9:4 ... a live dog is better of than a dead lion. A dead lion can not be any more fierce but a
living dog can be, as well a dead person is neither understanding nor having
any strength to do any thing. Such a person can not make any threats at all,
just as a dead lion can not.
Usually, when some people dies, there are what call themselves
"spirits of the dead" or "ghosts of the dead".
Many people have believed this lie and this has been very much
influenced among the people through movies. When people watch movies, see the
ghost moving out of the dead, others being ignorant that it is computer work,
believe that ghosts move out of dead people, but the bible says; Ecclesiastes.3:21 who knows the spirit of man goes upward, and
the spirit of the beast that goes downward to the earth?. How sure can you be that
the spirit of an animal goes down into the ground and that of man goes up. The
problem is that most people do not know what the word 'spirit' means, but we
shall talk about it ahead.
What usually is seen as a ghost of the dead is not the ghost of
the dead, it is a spirit of satan. Satanic spirits disguise themselves as the
ghosts from the dead people and deceive people that they are ghosts from the
dead. If man can keep a person's image, and keep watching that person though
dead, like; using televisions, computers, etc, don't you think Satan can do even
more than that?, Of course he can. Satan can keep the image of a person, record
that person's voice and then imitate that person after his or her death. You
can find a spirit in the image of the dead, with the voice of the dead and be
convinced to say that it is the spirit of the dead. It is not. It is a spirit
of the devil instead. What you should
wonder is that a spirit said to be of the dead is more powerful than how the
real person used to be during his time of living. This should also show you that
a person has no ghost. There's none in the bible that had a ghost, even Jesus
never had it. The spirits of the devil will disguise themselves as ghosts from
people just to fulfill, approve, and keep in effect their master's statement:
you shall not surely die. It is only God who does not die, but the rest die. If
you say that man has a ghost, that means that he does not die and that man is
like God, which is not true. If you try to think that you are equal to God,
then you are waging a war against him, no man is equal to God. No flesh lives eternally,
thus those who are to get eternal life will have their bodies transformed into
heavenly bodies. Satan was thrown down from heaven because of the same thought
that he had: I am equal to God, I will have more authority than him. If you
also have the same thought: I am equal to God; I do not die. Then I doubt the
heaven you will enter; you will not go to the heaven of God.
The only difference
between an animal and a person when dead is that, when an animal dies, it has
no hope and will not resurrect after parousia, but man has hope of resurrection;
The sinners will resurrect for judgment and then hell fire but the righteous
will resurrect for eternal life, but before the coming of Jesus, during the
time of death, we have no difference with animals, no understanding, no talking,
no hearing, no strength to do anything and therefore no ghost.
When you die, you surely die, but the problem still, is the people
who use scriptures to defend their wrong ideas. According the right
interpretation of the scriptures, a person has no ghost, remember, God's word
is always right and straight, no crookedness, hence the bible is true and
straightforward, therefore has no contradiction. If we have found out that a dead person has no living
part or spirirt in him after death, that means if you come across a scripture
which is as if saying that a dead person has
a ghost, then you should know that that scripture has some hidden
meaning that need to be explained through the inspiration of the holy spirit.
Without the holy spirit, you might perish with your wrong knowledge of the
scriptures. I may not explain all the
scriptures that seem to be confusing, but let me try to explain a few. These are listed below, what do they
mean?:
Luke.16:19- , Luke.23:43,46,
Acts.7:59, Ecclesiastes.12:7-, 1Peter.3:18-21, Hebrews.11:4-, and John.11:25.
These are the meanings of the scriptures above:
Luke.16:19 - 31, 22 ... And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the
angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; ... 24 And he cried and said, Father
Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his
finger in water, and cool my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame. ...
We hear this conversation between Abraham and the rich man after
his death, thus most people say, There's conversing after death, it is wrong. I
want you to remember that this is not the reality, It is only a parable which
must have a meaning, otherwise we would have said that the rich will go to hell
and the poor to heaven, which is not true. In the interpretation of the
scripture, we have spiritual poverty,
and spiritual richness.
Jesus, narrated this parable to emphasize a feeling of spiritual poverty, which
produces love and yearning for God's word; Matthew.5;3,6 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 6 Blessed
are they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Jesus was trying to warn us that whenever we feel rich in spirit,
in other words, whenever we feel that we know everything about God and we do not
need to learn more, then we ensnare ourselves into the trap of Satan, just like
the rich man. This parable was like a fare tale, one can start a fare tell:
Then the Lion said... but in actual sense lions do not speak to people but you
will feel contented as long as the meaning of the tale has come out and has
helped you, so never say that when some one dies, he can converse, he can not.
Luke.23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily, I say unto you, Today, shall you
be with me in paradise.
Most people say that when a righteous person dies, that very day,
he goes to paradise and is with God, which is not true. If you say that Jesus was with the man in
paradise, then you should remember that Jesus rose after three days, how then
could he be in paradise with the man within that day? Should we say that we
were deceived that Jesus died?
The bible says in Hebrews.11:39 And these
all (who obtained approval through faith) having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: 40
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not
be made perfect. Whoever had faith in God since the creation of the earth, has not
yet received the promise of God except a few mentioned in scriptures like, Enoch and Elijah. The bible has said that God is waiting for us and other
people so that we can all at once
receive the promise of God: to be with him in paradise. If you die as a
righteous person, you do not go to heaven straight away, other people will also
die, and when Jesus comes back, we shall all resurrect at once and go to
paradise: Heaven.
What then is meant by:
Today, you will be with me in paradise? Jesus was speaking to one man. When you
die, remember you lose your understanding, you do not grow older or younger,
you remain constant in every thing, when you resurrect, what you ended with
when dying is what you start with as you resurrect, you can not know whether
years, months, weeks, days, or hours, or even seconds have passed, when you
resurrect, you think that the day on which you died is the very day you have resurrected on, therefore when this man whom Jesus promised to be with in
paradise resurrects, he will know that he has resurrected on the very day he
died, hence will confirm that this is Today as Jesus has just said, but will
not say as Jesus said years ago because he will not know that years have
passed.
[Luke.23:46, Acts.7:59,
Ecclesiastes.12:7]
Luke.23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into
your hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit. Acts.7:59
And they stoned stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my
spirit. And Ecclesiastes.12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as
it was: and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.
What is the spirit? Is it the ghost people say?, that it moves out
of a person and then starts disturbing people?., No it is not.
The human being constitutes the three major components as to be
alive, as shown below:
a) The Body.
b) The soul.
c) The spirit.
For a person to be alive, God breathes His breath of life into the
spirit of a person to form the soul. In other words, the soul is made up of:
God's breath of life and the spirit.
Genesis.2:7 And the Lord God
formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath
of life; and the man became a living soul. Without the spirit which has the breath
of life and without the body, man can not be alive. If one of the three is
missing, man will not be alive.
The breath of life is the God given authority to live. It is a
unique power that God gives to every person as
to live. The breath of life is not oxygen, it can not be made or
duplicated by man, it is only given by God.
The breath of life is the spirit, which forms a living soul and if
added to the body, forms a living person. Job.27:3 All
the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils. This is not oxygen, the
spirit of God is the power of God that keeps one alive.
When Jesus was about to die, he told God to receive his spirit, in
other words, he meant that God had power over his life, which is the breath of
life and is the spirit so he had power to keep him dead or bring him back to
life. He meant that God should have full control over his life. when one dies
the power to make that person alive again, goes back or remains in the hands of
God thus even stephen said the same thing. In Ecclesiastes, the bible has been clear about this, when one dies, the
spirit: power over life, is left with God.
When this power leaves you, you can not be alive, you can not
think but return to dust as the bible has said. After knowing what the spirit
of God is, how do you trace it to find that it is a ghost?, there are no ghosts
in people. When you lose the breath of
life from God, then you die completely.
The bible says in Psalms.146:3 Put not your
trust in princes, nor in the sons of man, in whom there's no help. 4 His breath
goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
When one loses the breath of life of God and dies, he also loses
his thoughts completely.
1Peter.3:18 - 20 18 For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust ... being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the spirit: 19 By
whom also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 who formerly were
disobedient, when once the long suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, by which a few, that is eight souls were
saved through water. Remember that whenever we talk of a spirit, we mean the breath of
life from God. In this scripture, the spirit is referred to as the living
person. That Jesus went and preached to the spirits in prison. Any area of
spiritual darkness is a prison. This can be at some one's home, at school in one's bedroom, as long as one does satanic
things, then that person is a prisoner of satan hence in his prison. When one
is evil, though he might be in church or among righteous people, this person
is in the prison of satan, this is why Jesus said that you will know the truth
and the truth will make you free( from the prison of Satan) indeed.
Another thing we have to know is that Jesus existed even before
the creation of the earth. Jesus was a round, during the time of Noah, the
scripture says that he preached to the
spirits (people) in prison ( in wrong doing) hence through his preaching eight
souls were saved.
Though Jesus never came out as Jesus himself, to preach to the
people during the time of Noah, he could pass through different ways to talk to
the people. He could talk to the people through their parents like Noah and his
family, he could talk to them through their grand parents, he could talk to
them through prophets and so on.
It was Jesus who taught good manners among people through other
people till they were destroyed by floods or saved through Noah's Ark. Simply,
this is the meaning of the scripture, do not be deceived, it is not connected
to the dead people, as many interpret it.
Hebrews.11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than
Cain ... and by it he being dead yet speaks. Abel speaks though he is dead, not through real
vocal emission of words but through records of his good works.
I usually hear people say, Singers do not die, just because their
voices are left behind, recorded and they can entertain people though the real
singers are dead, but if these records are lost, then the singer can have
nothing to do about it as he or she is dead. This is the same case in this
scripture, not only Abel has good records but also many other people, their records were good and we can read of them and follow the same thing they did.
We usually speak: Jesus has said... but in actual sense, we say it after
quoting what Jesus said many years ago, he has not just said it now. Therefore
Abel speaks through his records just the way Jesus speaks now, just the way Peter
speaks now, and so on but through scriptures.
John.11:25 And Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he
that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever
lives and believes in me shall never die. ...
Whoever believes in Jesus never dies, should we say, that the one
who does not believe in him is the one who dies? Physically, no, because we all
believers and non-believers die, but spiritually, yes. Here, Jesus was speaking
about spiritual death. when you die physically, then spiritually God counts you
to be still alive if you are righteous. Spiritual death is brought about by
sin, but when you are free from sin, then you are spiritually alive. This is
why we read Hebrews.5:7 Who in the days of his
flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and
tears, unto him that was able to save
him from death, and was heard in that he feared; When Jesus prayed, God
heard him and saved him from death, and this was spiritual death. This is why
the bible says that Jesus never sinned though he was tempted. (Hebrews.4:15)
One is not considered to be spiritually dead though physically
dead, if one is righteous. He is instead said to be asleep, Acts.7:59 - 60. 60 And he knelt down and cried with aloud voice,
Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell
asleep. in
other words, he died.
When one believes in Jesus, one's account with God remains recorded as a righteous one though one dies.
Once again, man has no ghost, the spirit man has when alive, is
the power of God which keeps him alive. If you've been fearing and giving high degree of respect to graves and to dead
people, then you should stop it. Remember God said, If you die, you surely die
and Satan said the opposite, if you fear some thing, it means that you have
worshiped it, If you fear graves, thinking that they contain ghosts, then you worship satan. Believe what
God has said and he will take away all the fear from you and you will start
fearing only God.
Satan Uses dead people to speak or even walk but it does not mean
that the dead person is the one speaking.
If we read 1Samuel.28:7 - 20, Satan disguised himself as Samuel to talk to
King Saul. It was not Samuel because we have seen that when one dies, he can
not speak again. You can wonder this, God refused to talk to Saul, how could
the woman with demons raise up a man of God? should we say, God works hand in
hand with Satan, that if God fails then we consult Satan?, No it is wrong, the
woman with demons had no ability to raise Samuel back to life, that is if it
were possible, but it is not possible for Satan to raise even a sinner back to
life, how then could he raise a man of God? Saul was a a man of God and the
woman was not, therefore no connection. Saul was deceived, it was not samuel
with whom he conversed. Though what was said happened, it does not mean that
Samuel is the one who said it, God had already said that he had rejected Samuel, so Satan copped what God had said as
to tell it to Saul again.
Always know that a dead person can not:
- Think.
- Love.
- Hate or revenge.
- Envy or be jealous.
- Speak.
- Listen to anything.
- Harm or bless.
- Walk.
- Do any activity done by
a living person other than roting.
Ecclesiastes.9:5 For the living
know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything ... 6 Also their love
and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished ...
However, Satan can do all the above within the dead or having
disguised himself in form of the dead, just to fulfill the lie he spoke: You
shall not surely die.
There's no life after death until the coming back of Jesus christ.
Believe what is right and have nothing to do with what is wrong.
If you watch movies which advertise such satanic opinions that a person has a
ghost, just know that it is computer work, but Satan can also do it and also
know that a person has no ghost in him.
Research, keep reading the holy scriptures, you will understand
what God is saying.
Read and also teach others what you learn. God bless you.
